Weekly Sacred Sites Visit

  • Saint-Eugène Sainte-Cécile Church 4 Rue du Conservatoire Paris, IDF, 75009 France (map)

Join Sacred Paris for a weekly sacred sites visit, each week we explore one of the city’s sacred treasures - chapels, crypts, shrines, and hidden sanctuaries. These gentle gatherings are open to all and offer a moment of stillness, beauty, and presence within the living temple of Paris.

Join me in the 9eme this week to visit a church which was originally dedicated to Saint Eugène, a companion of Saint Denis who was martyred in the 3rd century. The church received a second dedication to Saint Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians, in 1952. This was due to its proximity to the Paris Conservatory of Music and Declamation. Jules Verne married Honorine Viane in this church on January 10, 1857.

We will meet in front of the church at 9am for our visit.

AUGUST 6TH SITE NOTES: We will meet at the entrance of the church. To stay close for this event, please join the “SACRED PARIS” WhatsApp Community HERE.
