Join Sacred Paris for a weekly sacred sites visit, each week we explore one of the city’s sacred treasures - chapels, crypts, shrines, and hidden sanctuaries. These gentle gatherings are open to all and offer a moment of stillness, beauty, and presence within the living temple of Paris.
This church is home to the Brothers and Sisters of Jerusalem, a monastic order serving the community, founded in 1975 by Fr. Pierre-Marie Delfieux and Cardinal Francois Marty. The order seeks to bring the contemplative spirituality of the desert into the heart of the city, particularly for the working populace. Monks and nuns hold part-time jobs and rent their housing. They offer daily Mass and sing the morning, noon, and evening offices, chanting through Flamboyant Gothic vaults beneath vivid stained glass. They follow rules of love, prayer, work, hospitality, and silence as well the traditional ones – chastity, obedience, and poverty.
We will arrive just before 7am to attend the morning mass with monastic chanting by the Brothers and Sisters of Jerusalem; a truly sacred and holy experience that will touch you deeply
JULY 23RD SITE NOTES: We will meet at the entrance of the church. To stay close for this event, please join the “SACRED PARIS” WhatsApp Community HERE.
