There are books that change how we see the world.

And then there are rare moments when we are invited to step inside the pages.

For thousands of readers around the world, Mary Magdalene Revealed transformed their relationship with Mary Magdalene. Through Meggan Watterson’s scholarship, devotion, and contemplative practice, women discovered a deeper, more intimate encounter with one of history’s most beloved spiritual teachers.

Now, for the very first time, Meggan is bringing that work to the sacred landscape that has shaped so much of her own journey.

Many women have made this pilgrimage before.

Never like this.

Together, we will walk the mountain of Sainte Baume.

Not simply as visitors.

As pilgrims.

The Invitation

There are places that are meant to be read.
There are places that are meant to be walked.

For centuries, pilgrims have climbed into the ancient forest of Sainte Baume, making their way toward the cave where tradition tells us Mary Magdalene spent the final years of her life in silence, prayer, and contemplation.

This mountain has become a place of remembrance.

Not because it offers certainty.
But because it invites us to listen.

Over five immersive days in Provence, we will follow the living path of Mary Magdalene together through sacred caves, ancient basilicas, hidden chapels, forests, shared meals, and quiet moments of reflection.

Three intimate gatherings with Meggan Watterson are thoughtfully woven into the rhythm of the pilgrimage. Each gathering includes one of her beloved soul-voice meditations, spacious conversation, and contemplative teaching inspired by decades of scholarship, spiritual practice, and love for Mary Magdalene.

Between these gatherings, the mountain itself becomes part of the teaching.

This is not simply an opportunity to visit Sainte Baume.

This is an invitation to experience it alongside one of the foremost contemporary voices devoted to
Mary Magdalene.

This Pilgrimage is a Unique Opportunity

This is the first time Meggan Watterson has ever offered an immersive pilgrimage on the very land she has loved, written about, and returned to throughout her own spiritual journey.

For many women, Mary Magdalene Revealed was
the beginning.

This pilgrimage is an invitation to continue the journey.

Whether this is your first visit to Sainte Baume or your fifth, experiencing this sacred landscape through Meggan’s presence offers an entirely new way
of seeing.

There are pilgrimages we take with our feet.
And there are pilgrimages we take with our hearts.

Here, the two become one.

Two Paths Meeting

Although our work has unfolded in different ways, it has led us to the same mountain.

For decades, Meggan Watterson has devoted her life to recovering the voice of Mary Magdalene through theology, scholarship, and contemplative practice.

Through Sacred Paris, Patricia Russo has spent years guiding women through France’s sacred landscapes, creating immersive pilgrimages rooted in beauty, presence, and devotion.

This pilgrimage is where those paths meet.

It is our greatest joy to welcome you into that meeting.

Our Journey Together

Over five days, we will follow the living path of Mary Magdalene through Provence.

Our pilgrimage begins in Marseille at the ancient Abbey of Saint Victor before we make our way into the quiet beauty of Sainte Baume.

Together, we will climb to the sacred grotto where tradition tells us Mary Magdalene spent her final years in prayer, visit the Basilica of Saint Maximin where her relics have been venerated for centuries, walk to hidden chapels nestled high above the forest, and conclude our journey at Saint Michel du Var.

Three intimate gatherings with Meggan are thoughtfully woven throughout the pilgrimage. Each includes contemplative teaching, soul-voice meditation, and time for conversation and reflection.

Between these gatherings, we will share picnic lunches beneath ancient trees, quiet walks through the forest, evenings around the table, and the gentle rhythm that only pilgrimage can offer.

On our final afternoon together, we will gather for a closing circle and benediction with Meggan, followed by a book signing and our farewell dinner before departing the following morning.

Every detail of this pilgrimage has been thoughtfully curated in the Sacred Paris tradition,
where beauty is not an extra, but part of the spiritual practice itself.

Meet Your Guides

MEGGAN WATTERSON is the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of Mary Magdalene Revealed. She is a feminist theologian with a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School and a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary.

She created The House of Mary Magdalene– a spiritual community that studies the sacred texts left out of the traditional canon and practices the soul-voice meditation.

Her work has appeared in media outlets such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, HuffPost, TEDxWomen, and Marie Claire.

Her most recent book, The Girl Who Baptized Herself, was recommended by Glennon Doyle in ELLE as “the book that kept me up way too late.”

PATRICIA RUSSO is the founder and steward of Sacred Paris, where she creates intimate pilgrimages devoted to beauty, contemplation, and the sacred landscapes of France. An American living in Paris, her work bridges theology, sacred travel, and spiritual practice, inviting others to experience pilgrimage as a living path rather than a historical journey.

On her first pilgrimage to Sainte Baume in October 2021, Patricia experienced a profound mystical encounter on the mountaintop following the loss of her sister. Before descending the mountain, she made a quiet promise to return every year for the rest of her life. She has kept that promise ever since, guiding women along the Magdalene path with reverence, beauty, and deep inner wisdom.

A former luxury travel writer and associate publisher of a city magazine, Patricia now writes the Sacred Paris publication, exploring the hidden spiritual heritage of Paris and France. She is also the author of the poetry collection These Words, a Bhakti yoga teacher, and a devoted student of Christian mysticism, the Gnostic Gospels, and the world’s wisdom traditions. Through every pilgrimage, her deepest hope is to help others encounter the sacred not only in the places they visit, but within themselves.

There’s a boat made of alabaster waiting for me when I close my eyes.
I know I’m meant to unmoor the anchor.
I know I’m meant to climb inside,
and trust the slow, dark waters

to carry me.
I feel you whisper the courage I need,
caress my cheek, kiss the top of my hand.
So that, as I stand on this edge of everything I once was,
I am baptized by the promise of your love.
