The Rose Garden
Date: c. 1960–1980 (rosary)
Late 20th century (porcelain box)
Origin: Italy (rosary)
France (Porcelaine de Paris trinket box)
A beautifully sculptural vintage Italian rosary paired with a delicate French porcelain keepsake box, creating a devotional set designed for both prayer and safekeeping.
The rosary is composed of individually cast metal beads, each fashioned as a blooming rose. The softly aged silver tone gives the flowers remarkable depth, allowing every decade to resemble a garland gathered from a timeless garden.
The centerpiece features the Miraculous Medal on one side and Our Lady on the reverse, while the elegant crucifix bears the ITALY maker’s mark and retains a finely detailed corpus with a graceful, understated design.
Accompanying the rosary is a charming white porcelain trinket box from Porcelaine de Paris, decorated with soft pink roses on the lid. Perfectly sized to cradle the rosary, it transforms an everyday devotional object into something worthy of being displayed, gifted, and treasured.
Together they create a quiet devotional heirloom that celebrates both beauty and prayer.
Included
• Vintage Italian rose bead rosary
• Cast metal floral beads throughout
• Miraculous Medal centerpiece
• Italian marked crucifix (ITALY)
• Vintage French Porcelaine de Paris porcelain trinket box with floral decoration
Condition
Very good vintage condition. The rosary has developed a gentle silver patina that beautifully defines the sculpted roses. The crucifix, centerpiece, and chain are secure and fully intact. The porcelain box is clean and displays only light wear consistent with careful use.
Curator’s Note
Some objects seem to belong together before they ever meet.
The sculpted roses of this rosary echo the hand painted blossoms on its porcelain resting place, creating a pairing that feels both intentional and quietly poetic. Rather than hiding the rosary away, the little porcelain box invites it to remain close, ready for prayer, reflection, or simply as a beautiful reminder of the sacred woven into everyday life.
A devotional treasure meant to be opened often and cherished for years to come.
Important Note
All sales are final, each piece is one-of-a-kind
Please note the shipping, pick-up and in-Paris delivery options at check-out
